I am so excited after trying for months to perfect the spaghetti squash, I finally discovered I was missing a very important step. Not sure about you guys, but I wasn't feeling my spaghetti squash, I was eating it because it is good for our healthy but the taste wasn't resonating with me, it was too mushy and sweet for my taste buds. I created The Best Keto Friendly Spaghetti Squash Simple recipe after following these easy steps. These easy steps below should be followed regardless of what recipe you use for your spaghetti squash.
Here we go!
Ingredients needed:
Spaghetti Squash
Himalayan salt
Directions:
Instead of cutting it half, you will cut it in rings, gut it, removing the seeds.
Lay it on a baking sheet and sprinkle with the salt. Leave it for 15 minutes, this will absorb all of the water. Once the 15 minutes have passed, take a paper towel and wipe off all of the excess moisture and salt. This will help the texture of the Spaghetti Squash, it will not be so mushy.
Now spread a bit of your favorite oil, I used coconut oil on top of the Spaghetti Squash and baked for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Once baked allow to cool for 5 minutes. Then remove the skin and tear the strands with your hand, you should have long "pasta like" strands.
Once I was done with cooking the "pasta" I created The Best Keto Friendly Spaghetti Squash Simple recipe.

We stayed at the JW Marriott in Marco, Island for 5 days over the Fourth of July holidays. Marco Island is a city in Collier County, located in an island in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Southwest Florida, which is about a 2 hour drive from Ft Lauderdale, FL, where we currently reside. Marco island is the largest barrier island within South Florida.
The Marriott was a perfect choice for us. This 4 Star hotel has all the amenities required for a perfect vacation. As a Healthy Fit Couple, it is very important that the resorts we check in have an adequate gym, healthy food options and a wellness program. This hotel had all that and more.
While staying at the Marriott we made an appointment for a 90 minute deep massage. Not only was the massage amazing, the private pool and Spa area were perfect. We basked in the sun while sipping pink mimosas after our amazing massage.
All of the meals we had at several of their restaurants were outstanding. We were actually lucky one night, we sat at the bar at Ario, which happens to be facing the open kitchen. We were able to see the chefs and servers preparing and plating the dishes. This was the highlight for Geo since he loves food photography.
Our dinner at Ario was fantastic. The steak was cooked to perfection. The cocktails are crafted and original.
Our rate included a free breakfast brunch, which had pretty good options. For us healthy eaters, the omelette station is essential and they did have one available. All of the rest of the meals were amazing at the restaurants in the resort.
On one of the days, the boys chartered a boat and when fishing. They caught the most delicious snapper lane. The experience was memorable. As they caught a few fishes, the captain cleaned them and filleted them. We then took them over to Cocomos Grill, where the chef prepared the most amazing fish I have ever tasted. They were cooked crusted with Jalapenos, and pan seared with key lime beurre blanc sauce. If you are in Marco Island please make sure to dine here.
We spend these 5 days, sailing, working out, photo shooting on the beach, eating well and relaxing. HealthyFitCouple enjoys taking time to make memories, taking time to enjoy each other and disconnecting.
